Reactor Physics  

 

The section “Reactor Physics” is mainly engaged in the fundamentals and advanced methodology of reactor physics and neutron transport theory. The research topics include the generation and assessment of macro cross-section data, critical reactor and sub-critical reactor physics theory, advanced numerical methods of neutron transport/diffusion solutions. The ongoing research activities are: nuclear design of PWR reactor core, fuel management analysis, development of advanced numerical simulation system, new numerical solution of neutron transport problems, analysis method for new generation PWR reactor cores, optimization of loading/refueling scheme of PWR and CANDU reactors, monitoring method for the subcriticality of sub-critical nuclear systems.
