上海交通大学-日本东京大学-西安交通大学 2016年核工程国际暑期学校

国际暑期学校简介

 

上海交通大学-日本东京大学-西安交通大学三校核工程暑期学校主旨为加强中国与日本主要高校之间核学科的学术交流,尤其是促进在核科学与技术领域学术前沿和研究热点方面的交流,提高参与暑期学校研究生的学术研究能力、科研创新能力、英语交流能力,拓宽研究生的学术视野。

  本暑期学校由上海交通大学(SJTU-日本东京大学(UT-西安交通大学(XJTU)三方核工程专业共同主办,于每年暑期轮流在上海、日本东京及西安三地举办,并由三方轮流承办。自2008年首次在西安交通大学举办以来,后面分别在日本东京地区、上海举办,累计已举办8届。暑期学校学员一般为高年级硕士研究生或博士生,目前为止累计的学员人数已经超过300名。按照轮流承办的原则,2016年的暑期学校将由上海交通大学主办。暑期学校将邀请三校的教授围绕先进核能系统、严重事故、反应堆相关的数值模拟方法等展开授课。针对既定的研究主题,暑期学校将要求学员就相关课题提前展开研究,并在暑期学校期间通过海报及讲演等方式阐述自己对相关主题的看法。根据学员的表现,暑期学校将颁发优秀口头报告奖、优秀海报奖等奖项。暑期学校通常组织安排1次技术参观,如2015年在日本东海举办的暑期学校安排了前往福岛第二核电站的技术参观。通过暑期学校的交流,我们希望能够拓展学员的科研策划能力、研究成果的展示能力及语言表达能力,拓展了学员的国际视野,为其将来的科研工作、就业、出国留学等提供帮助。

教学内容和实践活动

  围绕先进核能系统、严重事故、反应堆相关的数值模拟方法等方面安排三校教授为学生讲课,共计10个学时。针对既定的研究主题,组织学员进行分组完成任务,并安排讲师担任指导工作,共计5个半天;组织安排1次技术参观和1次文化交流。学期结束前,对学员进行考核;向考核通过的学员颁发毕业证。

 

招生对象和人数

  上海交通大学约15名学员、日本东京大学约10名、西安交通大学约10名核专业高年级的硕士研究生和博士生,学员人数共计约35人左右。

The 9th SJTU-UT-XJTU Joint Summer School on Nuclear Engineering

 

Shanghai China,September 20-24,2016

 Overview

 

The SJTU-UT-XJTU Joint Summer School on Nuclear Engineering aims to enhance the academic exchange between the main universities with deppartment of Nuclear Engineering, and especially, to promote the academic exchange in cutting-edge field of nuclear science and engineering. The summer school is also dedicated to foster or solidate the participants’ ability in research, innovation and expression of the their academic ideas and to broaden their academic vision.

 

  The summer school has been annually hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), the University of Tokyo (UT) and Xi’an Jiao Tong University (XJTU) since 2008. The previous 8 summer schools have been held in Xi’an for 3 times, in Tokyo for 3 times and in Shanghai twice. The 9th summer school will be held in Shanghai and hosted by SJTU. The participants in this summer school are routinely senior master students or doctoral students. The overall number of participants has exceeded 300 in the previous 8 summer schools. The summer school invites the lecturer from the three universities to give talks on advanced nuclear systems, severe accidents and advanced simulation technology for nuclear reactor. The research tasks are assigned to the partipants before the summer school. And the participants are required to present their results on the assigned research tasks through poster and oral presentation. The best poster and oral presentations according to the evaluation committee will be awarded. A one-day technical tour is usually arranged to visit the nuclear power station or workshop for production of major components in nuclear reactor. For example, in 2015 the summer school arranged the technical tour to Fukushima-Daini nuclear power station. Thus, the summer school provide the opportunity for the participant to enhance their research, presentation skills, to expand their vision for research. It will greatly assist the participants in looking for opportunities for studying abroad.

And the participants are required to present their results on the assigned research tasks through poster and oral presentation. The best poster and oral presentations according to the evaluation committee will be awarded. A one-day technical tour is usually arranged to visit the nuclear power station or workshop for production of major components in nuclear reactor.

Only participants from SJTU, UT and XJTU are accepted in this summer school. The rough numbers of participants are: around 15 participants from SJTU, 10 participants from UT, 10 participants from XJTU. The numer of participating students is about 35 in total.
